First Line Fridays | September 13th, 2019

It's that part of the week where I get to share what I am planning on reading by playing a little game. This idea was created by the wonderful Wandering Words. Here's the general gist: 

• Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page.

• Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first.
• Finally… reveal the book!

Today is Roald Dahl day! As well as being Friday 13th and a Full Moon. I thought today's First Line Friday would be a brilliant way to showcase one of my favourite books growing up and the book I credit to my humor, my wicked streak, and my love of witches and magic.
