Wrapping August

This month flew past too quickly! And by Sept, 3 i'll be back to college, going back, to leashing my inner reading demon.

That being said, I had a VERY good reading month.

This summer I set out to read 12 books, I got to 11 and I am currently on the twelfth!! This month took 5 and considering the books that I did read I am extremely proud and happy.

The first part of books are books I had read during the week of Booktubeathon:

A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold (A Song of Ice and Fire #3.2)
George R.R. Martin
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was a such a fast paced book with a lot going on. Although, I have watched the television adaptation I already could see where they divide. I love GRRM use of dialouge and there was a large input of character development. It was the best I had read... (more to come.)

The Novice (Summoner #1)
Taran Matharu

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Where as I liked this premise of this book however, I felt like it was lacking in something. There was a certain charm to Matharu writing- it was detailed but not overly so as fantasy authors can do. I think this would make a very good graphic novel. And I think I will be continuing when the sequel comes out next year.

A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire #4)
George R.R. Martin

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oh, gosh!
I feel like I am giving all my books 4/5 star ratings BUT honestly they were all fantastic. A Feast for Crows is one that A LOT of people haven't liked- I did! I did a review link here.

And what I read for the rest of the month?:

Harry Potter and the Philsopher's Stone (Harry Potter 1)
J.K. Rowling

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I read this for the first time a few years ago and ONLY GAVE IT 4 STARS!!

WHY?!

I knew exactly what would happen in the semi-basics of the plot but I had forgotten so much. It was such a joy and obviously I bumped up my rating. Just AMAZING as always.

Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass #3)
Sarah J. Maas

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Manon. Manon FREAKING Blackbeak. Just, just....
I began to like Rowan but perhaps not as much as other people do. I enjoyed him as a person but perhaps my view will change. I still ship Dorian and Celeana... DON'T YOU DARE JUDGE ME!

And Chaol? Oh God! What did he do? GAH!
