WRAP-UP| June 2018

Well this month has been stressful. I moved out of my University flat and back to London for the summer, I read a crap tonne, organised some blog tours and turned 20!

Books to finish:
  • Ravencry by Ed McDonald
  • The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
  • Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson
The Truth About Alice
Jennifer Mathieu

I like what this was trying to do. I liked that none of the protagonist were particularly likable and were all just as flawed. I have some more thoughts that I will be putting into review form.

Royal Assassin (The Farseer Trilogy #2)
Robin Hobb

Apart from the reread, this is my favourite book that I've read this month. Plenty of politcal intrigue, character growth, high stakes - both personal and political. It was fantastic.

Friendship Fails of Emma Nash (Emma Nash Series #2)
Chloe Seager

I sped through the first book, Editing Emma, during Fresher's Week last year and was really excited to see a sequel on Netgalley. In true Netgalley form, there will be a review coming.

Vicious (Villians #1)
V.E.Schwab

That reread I was talking about? Of course it was Vicious.
This stands up to the thoughts and feelings I had about this book when I first read it five years ago and remains to be my favourite V.E.Schwab book.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR VENGEFUL IN SEPTEMBER!

The Charmed Life of Alex Moore
Molly Flatt

This one was sent to me unsolicted by PanMacmillan, but I still read it. It was when I was in the Sci-fi kick and thought it would fall into that genre.

I was wrong.

But, I'll get to that in a review.

Goodbye Perfect

Not Sara Barnard's strongest book, but still as important as her others.

REVIEW

I've lowered it from 3 stars to 2, but still stand by what I said in my review.
